How it works
Submit Request → Eligibility Review → Service / Attempts → Secure Proof
1. Submit Request
Tell us about the matter, the person or business to be served and the address, and upload the documents through a secure form.
2. Eligibility Review
Energe screens every request against its operational eligibility rules. Some requests are accepted, some need manual review, and some cannot be accepted.
3. Service / Attempts
An accepted request is assigned to an Energe field contractor, who makes service attempts under Energe's standard attempt policy and records each attempt.
4. Secure Proof
Proof of service, or documentation of unsuccessful attempts, is provided to you securely. Filing it with the court remains your responsibility.
Process serving
Civil process delivered by a documented, professional workflow
Energe Process Serving delivers legal papers to the person or business named in your request, using Energe’s field contractors and standard attempt policy. Each request is screened before it is accepted, and each attempt is recorded.
For law firms and businesses
A professional workflow for repeat clients
- Saved organization details
- Matters with saved recipients and addresses
- Multiple users on one organization account
- Faster repeat requests on the same matter
- Status tracking and request history in one place
Online tracking and secure proof
Know where your request stands
Your client portal shows the status of every request. Documents you upload are encrypted and are only available to people with a legitimate reason to see them. Final proof of service, or documentation of unsuccessful attempts, is delivered securely rather than by ordinary email.
Service area
South Carolina
Energe accepts requests for service at addresses in South Carolina, subject to eligibility review and field availability. Whether a particular address can be covered is confirmed when your request is reviewed.
Why Energe

Contractors complete an application, agree to Energe's field service standards and record every attempt.
Security by design
Encrypted document storage, account-based access and an audit trail of important actions.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is service guaranteed?
No. Energe makes attempts under its standard attempt policy, but successful service depends on facts outside Energe’s control, such as whether the person can be found at the address supplied.
Does Energe give legal advice?
No. Energe is not a law firm. Its eligibility review is an operational screening, not legal advice. Please consult an attorney about your documents, deadlines and service requirements.
How many attempts are included?
Standard local service includes up to three attempts under Energe’s standard attempt policy. Three attempts is Energe’s business policy, not a legal requirement.
Important: Energe performs an operational eligibility screening of each request. This is not legal advice, and Energe is not a law firm. Submitting a request does not guarantee that Energe will accept it or that service will be successful. You remain responsible for choosing the correct documents, method and deadlines for your matter.
